AT HEWLET-PACKARD
Our business is the practical application of high technologies. HP applies its
scientific and engineering resources to two fundamental areas: Measurement
and Computation. T h e company makes more than 4000 products with
broad application in the fields of science, engineering, business, industry,
medicine, and education.
HP has manufacturing divisions in more than 20 cities in the U.S. and eight

cities overseas, and has 172 sales offices worldwide. Annual sales are
approximately two billion dollars.
Aggressive Product Development
Traditionally, HP invests from eight t o ten percent of its sales revenue in
research and development. T h e largest share of these dollars support product
development programs within H P s manufacturing divisions. This level
of commitment enables the company t o employ the latest technologies in
developing innovative products that can be reliably produced, delivered, and
supported o n a continuing basis.
