An unwanted side effect inside the UOC can cause the problem. Even when the symptom is present at the loudspeaker- (and headphone-) output it will neither be recorded on tape nor be present on Scart output. Service Solution Sets with "UOC/N1" (TDA93xx) can easily be identified by their Evolution code "AA" printed on the type plate. For all 14" sets of /07 version with TDA93xx there is the following service solution: Exchange item 2736 on the SSB-PCB from 4n7 capacitor to a 09 jumper. Sets with Evolution Code "AB" are equipped with UOC TDA95xx and do not show the problem (all 20/21 inch sets have TDA95xx).
