Countermeasure is applicable only upon claim from the customer. Symptom: 1) When the DVD disc where the copyright is not protected is reproduced, the video aspect ratio cannot be detected. (For DVD-1740, DVD- 558) 2) To add the SRM (System Renewability Message) function from new models. (For DVD-1740, DVD-558) Solution: We corrected the firmware so that no malfunction occurs. MODIFICATION: We will supply the following program files for updating the subject models. Therefore, please record each program file on a blank CD-R separately, and update the unit upon claim from the customer.
