SERVICING OF HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM AND PICTURE TUBE When servrcrng the hrgh voltage system, remove static charge from it by connectrng a 10k ohm Reststor in series wtth an Insulated wire (such is a test probe) between picture tube tag and 2nd anode lead. (AC ine cord should be disconnected from AC outlet.) 1. 2. 3. 4. Picture tube in thus receiver employs integral Implosion protection. Replace with tube of the same type number for continued safety. Do not lift picture tube by the neck. Handle the picture tube only when wearing shatter-proof goggles and after discharging the high voltage completely.
