ADJUSTMENT GENERAL INFORMATION All adjustment are thoroughly checked and corrected when the monitor leaves factory, but sometimes several minor adjustment may be required. Adjustment should be following procedure and after warming up for a minimum of 30 minutes. Alignment appliances and tools. - Programmable Signal Generator. (eg. VG-819 made by Astrodesign Co.) - E(E)PROM with each mode data saved. - Digital Voltmeter. - White Balance Meter. - Luminance Meter. Adjust side-pincushion ( ) with S-PCC in the , buttons on the alignment program or monitor to be the best condition. Adjust trapezoid ( ) with TRAPEZOID in the , buttons on the alignment program or monitor to be the best condition. Display from Mode 2 to Mode 6 and repeat above adjustment. 4. Adjustment for White Balance and Luminance. Set the White Balance Meter. Demagnetize CRT with the demagnetizer. (external degaussing coil). Display color 0,0 pattern at Mode 1. Set Brightness ( ) volume to max and VR826 (SUB-BRIGHT) volume to center position. Set Contrast ( ) volume to max position. Set VR357 (R-BIAS) and VR367 (G-BIAS) to min and VR347 (B-BIAS) to center position. Adjust Screen control on the FBT to 0.2~0.3FL of the raster luminance. Adjust VR357 (R-BIAS) and VR367 (G-BIAS) to x=0.281 0.01 and y=0.311 0.01. Adjust VR826 (SUB-BRIGHT) to 0.2~0.3FL of the raster luminance. Display color 15,0 box pattern (70 70mm) at Mode 1. Adjust VR850 (SUB-CONTRAST) to 40~50FL of the raster luminance. Adjust VR313 (R-DRIVE) and VR314 (G-DRIVE) to x=0.281 0.003 and y=0.311 0.003. Adjust VR850 (SUB-CONTRAST) to 55 1FL of the box pattern luminance at Mode 1. Display color 15,0 full white patten at Mode 1. Adjust VR842 (ABL) to 32 1FL of the luminance. Check the x=0.281 0.01 and y=0.311 0.01 at the Contrast ( ), Brightness ( ) volume to max position and Contrast ( ) to max, Brightness ( ) volume to min position. 5. Adjustment for Focus. Set the Brightness ( ) and Contrast ( ) volume to max position. Display H character in the full screen at Mode 4. Adjust to the best focus with the Focus control on the FBT. ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE & METHOD 1. Adjustment for B+ Voltage Display cross hatch pattern at Mode 5. Adjust horizontal size with , buttons to 250mm. Adjust vertical size ( ) with , buttons to 185mm. Adjust J12 voltage to 130 0.2V with VR705. 2. Adjustment for Horizontal Raster Center Display cross hatch pattern at Mode 5. Adjust the raster should be center of the screen with SW731. 3. Adjustment for Screen Image (Factory Mode) Install adaptor and cable for adjustment such as figure 1 and run alignment program on DOS for IBM compatible PC. Set E ST Switch to OFF of the adaptor. (Refer to see Figure 1.) Display cross hatch pattern at Mode 1. Adjust horizontal size with H-SIZE in the , buttons on the alignment program or monitor to 250 1mm.
