SUBJECT: Microprocessor Manufacturing Change

BACKGROUND: The microprocessor has been changed from an OTP type to a Masking type. The change was made to make production easier.

SOLUTION: The original OTP type (68HC705BD7) was made by Motorola and had to be programmed by Samsung. The new Masking type (LSC442808B) is made by Motorola and programmed by the vendor. Both microprocessors are interchangeable pin for pin. The application date for the new microprocessor was applied on May 30, 1997.
