Symptom:
( ** ) If customer should experience Registration (Convergence) change after warm up,
Please perform the following checks:
Solution: 1. Check IC1704 or IC1705 on the D Board for cold solder joints and resolder as
necessary.
2. Confirm that sufficient Silicone Grease has been applied between ICs (IC1704,
IC1705) and heat sink. More Silicone Grease will help dissipate heat thereby
allowing IC to operate at a reduced and controlled temperature.
Silicone grease, Part number 7-662-006-02 is available from National Parts Center.
3. Confirm Metal clips are holding down ICs and adhere closely to heat sink.
If Metal clips have became weak, please replaced it with part number 4-393-401-01
or 4-393-401-11. (Part name listed in the service manual is "Transistor Spring".)
