Subject: Preventing Recurring Damage To Tuner Pack. Date: December 27, 1994

Symptom:
(21) The customer may complain that the tuner sensitivity has become poor, which is
cured by replacing the tuner pack. At a time subsequent to the repair, the customer
complains that the sensitivity has become poor again.

Solution: Replace the tuner pack. Prevent recurring damage to the tuner pack by adding a
discharge gap across the antenna input lead and ground.
