Subject: Firmware Correction via DPMS (Denon Product Management
Server).
Symptom: Customer has 2 or more Music servers in his network. The
customer complaint says that it is sometimes impossible to change the music
server. If you like to change e.g. the Album or title from server 1 to Album from
server 2 the return button "blocks" (no return to another Music server is
possible). You can only select the first folder of the server 1. Only after switching
off and on, is it possible to select between all servers. Sometime operation is fine
and you can select between all different Music servers.
Solution: We corrected the firmware so that no malfunction occurs.
METHOD OF UPDATE via DPMS (Denon Product Management Server)
Updating the firmware (from Rhapsody function)
1) Please pull the AC cable out from the AC strip. (Turn the Power Supply of the
unit off.)
2) Connect the Ethernet terminal of the unit to the Network line by Ethernet
straight cable. (Don't use Ethernet cross cable.) The connection of the network
recommends the Ethernet cable for certain update.
3) Please insert the AC cable into the AC strip. (Turn the Power Supply of the
unit ON.)
4) Turn on the Power of unit by the "FUNCTION on/off" button.
5) The unit connects the Internet. Wait for about two minutes until customer's
router ends the setting.

Cautions during the updating operation:
1) Please do not turn off the setting of "DHCP" when you update the unit.
(Initialization is turning on.) Please execute it under the guidance of the IT staff
with computer skills when the setting of "DHCP" is unavoidably turned off by
limiting the electronic environment, and you set IP Address, the subnet mask, the
default gateway, and DNS, etc. for yourself. When a mistake is made in the
setting with "DHCP" turned off, the unit might not operate, and in the worst
situation the unit can be damaged. Please do not touch the setting of "DHCP"
except in special circumstances.
2) When the customer use "Netgear router 614 Series" for updating, "uPnP"
have to be deactivated in the router.
3) Please do not turn off the Power of the unit or pull out AC code during the
updating operation.
4) If the Display has kept indicating fixed during the updating operation, wait
longer than total updating time. Then, turn off the Power of the unit and start the
updating operation from the beginning again.
Confirming the firmware's number after upgrading:
After completion of the updating operation, the new version number can be
confirmed by starting up the unit according to the following procedure. With the
following operation, the unit can be set to the Flash-ROM Version-Number
Confirmation Mode.
