The Hitachi Global Storage Technologies Integration Lab thoroughly tested these Hitachi Deskstar drives
for compatibility with a wide variety of systems, controller cards, and Operating Systems. Testing was to
demonstrate compatibility with the following hardware and software. Other combinations of hardware and
software are expected to function with this product family, but have not been tested.

1) At the time of testing older releases of Award BIOS do
not support hard drives with capacity greater than
33.8GB. A common symptom is a hang condition during
System POST. To install a Hitachi Deskstar 180GXP
drive that is >30GB will require use of a third party utility
(see Drive Capacity section above).
