Model: DVD-2900, DVD-2200
Subject: Countermeasure for playback the malfunction upon of particular
discs.
Symptom: 1) On the DVD "Alien Resurrection (Alien 4)", when the DTS is
selected, the playback stops at the specific place.
2) In the case of the DVD "Diana Krall Live in Paris", the unit does not play the
sound back during the sound stream selected at Audio Setup of the MENU.
Solution: The Back-end firmware has been updated.
Please upgrade the Back-end MICON of your customer's unit when it is brought
into your service bench due to some other reasons and/or upon claim.
Upgrading Procedures for the "Back-end MICON":
1) Use two blank CD-R Discs. Be sure to record only the above supplied program
files onto two CD-R Discs separately.
Note: Do not record any other data or signals on the CD-R Disc, except the
above program files.
2) Turn ON the Power of the unit. Set the above CD-R Disc to the Loader.
3) The unit automatically starts the upgrading operation.
Caution: After starting the upgrading operation, do not operate the unit or turn off
the Power until the Disc is ejected automatically.
