LCD UNIT (CD9) FOR MODULE JIG

To have a possibility to follow display, a special spring loaded frame for LCD-
unit is included in Module Jig (MJS-9). Because the LCD-module in NSM-3
differs from the one in NSM-2, it has been necessary to design a separate
LCD-unit for jig use.

The original LCD-module for NSM-3 can not be used in jig, because the
module is designed to work also with NSM-2 radio module which does not
have this kind of "long" LCD module. The total thickness of the modules
would be too big in case of NSM-3.

Note: Do not use the LCD module of NSM-2 with NSM-3. (It can harm the
LEDs on the radio module, also the elastomer contact will not be
acceptable.)

Procedure

Remove LCD/keymat module from radio module PCB before installing it into
the Module Jig MJS-9. Install LCD unit (CD9) instead of the original NSM-3
module. Close the deck of the jig.
