Subject: Countermeasure for "HDMI P.W.B. UNIT" issues.
Countermeasure is applicable only upon claim from the customer. This
countermeasure is not intended and need not be applied to stock units.
Symptom: 1) In the DSP processing mode, the noise occurs from the speaker.
2) In the DSP processing mode, the audio signal is not output from the speaker.
3) In the DSP processing mode, the noise is output, and the audio signal is not
output afterwards.
4) When the HDMI input is used, the video signal is not output.
Solution: Countermeasure is applicable only upon claim from the customer.
MODIFICATION: Please modify the defective unit when the symptom is not
improved after you pull out and insert the "HDMI P.W.B. UNIT" as outlined in
service bulletin OST-C1375.
5-1: AVR-1508/1708/488/588/688
1) Remove the Top cover.
2) Remove the "HDMI P.W.B. UNIT".
3) Connect between 4 pin of CP904 on "HDMI P.W.B. UNIT" and JP373 on "2CH
AMP P.W.B. UNIT" with a 24 ga. wire (nsp, L=15cm, AWG24 UL1430).

4) Insert the "HDMI P.W.B. UNIT", and fix the screws with the Back panel and
Top cover.

1) Remove the Top cover.
2) Remove the "HDMI P.W.B. UNIT".
3) Remove the shield plate.
4) Connect between 4 pin of CN904 on "HDMI P.W.B. UNIT" and JP1008 on "D-
VIDEO P.W.B. UNIT" with a 24 ga. wire (nsp, L=15cm, AWG24 UL1430)

5) Insert the "HDMI P.W.B. UNIT", and fix the screws with the Back panel and
Top cover.

1) Remove the Top cover.
2) Remove the "HDMI P.W.B. UNIT".
3) Remove the shield plate.
4) Connect between 4 pin of CN904 on "HDMI P.W.B. UNIT" and Minus
terminal of C1009D (or C1206 on some video board versions) on the "VIDEO
P.W.B UNIT" with a 24 ga. wire (nsp, L=15cm, AWG24 UL1430).
