Subject: Supply of Setup Tool
Symptom: Because the AVR-2809CI/989/ is not equipped with the Ethernet
terminal it cannot be set up externally by means of a PC using the web. The
supplied Software has been designed so that the AV Amplifier can easily be set
up via the PC's Display by connecting the AV Amplifier to the PC by means of
RS-232C Cable available in the market.
Note: Please pay attention upon handling since this Tool has been designed on
the assumption that the installer has the knowledge to operate it. It is not a
general user tool and do not give this to the customer or end user.
Solution:
SETUP TOOL TO BE SUPPLIED:
1) Program File to be used to install the "AVR-2809CI/989" onto a PC:
For Windows Vista: AVR2809_SystemSetup_0.0.12 (for Vista).exe
For Windows XP: AVR2809_SystemSetup_0.0.12(for XP).exe
When this Program File is executed onto a PC, the above "AVR-2809CI/989
Setup Tool" can be automatically installed on the PC.
2) Operating Manual for the "AVR-2809CI/989 Setup Tool":
AVR2809_setup_tool_0.0.12_manual.pdf
3) Update the firmware of unit on the "AVR-2809CI/989 Setup Tool". Refer to the
Operating Manual for Setup Tool. AVR2809_setup_tool_0.0.12_manual.pdf

Confirmation of the Version after the updating:
After completion of the updating operation, the new version number can be
confirmed by starting up the AVR-2809CI/989 according to the following
procedure.
With the following operation, the AVR-2809CI/989 can be set to the Flash-ROM
Version-Number Confirmation Mode. Turn the power of the AVR-2809CI/989 on,
while holding both "STATUS" button and "RETURN" button on the front panel
simultaneously.
Every time the "STATUS" Button is pressed, version numbers of the MAIN, SUB,
etc. are indicated on the front panel section in the following order.
