NEW LCD ASSEMBLY (4850171)

New LCD assembly (code 4850171) has been implemented in NPE-3.

The difference between the old LCD assembly (code 4850147) and the new
one is that a diffuser foil has been inserted between the LCD glass and the
light guide. The diffuser foil eliminates possible small black dots in the
display (also known as "honeycomb effect").

As the new LCD assembly reduces the "honeycomb effect", it will cause a
very slight decrease of light intensity.

The new LCD assembly is backward compatible.

The two different versions can be verify from the number printed in the back
of the light guide:

Old type: *7690-1*
New type: *7690-3*

Note: type *7690-2* is not in use
