Model: DVD-800
Subject: Upgrading the Firmware Version
Symptom: Regarding the subject models, "NO PLAY" appears on the display
when playing back the CD Area of the Hybrid system SACD, and is incapable of
playing back the disc.
Solution: A firmware update is available so the malfunction does not occur.
MODIFICATION PROCEDURE:
Connect the unit to a TV Monitor before starting the modification.
Caution: Please do not turn off the Power of the unit during the rewriting
operation.
1) Turn the Power of the unit on. Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button and open the
Tray.
2) Put the disc for updating on the Tray and close the Tray.
3) Automatically playback starts and the following indications appear on the TV
Monitor screen.

4) To confirm the Version Number:
While holding "PAUSE" and "OPEN/CLOSE" buttons on the unit down
simultaneously, press #7 button on the Remote Control. The Version Number
appears on the Display window.
