Disassembly Procedure
Remove Battery Cover, Battery, Sim-card and MMC-Card
Press the Battery Cover Release Button and remove the Cover by sliding towards the
connectors.

Remove the battery (there is no locking)
Remove the SIM Card by sliding the SIM Card Holder downwards and then Rotate to
open the SIM connector latch and remove the card.
Remove The MMC Card by pressing the MMC Hook (metallic part) Remove the card as it
pops up from its place.

Remove A-Cover and Keymat
Push the A-Cover from the connector area upwards with the thumb. Keep pushing and at
the same time help with index finger from the left and right side of the product.

Remove Keyguide Assembly with UI PWB, Centershield and Center Frame
Remove screws in order as shown using Torx 6 screwdriver. Remove the Keyguide assem-
bly
Note for reassembly. When reassembling Use 25Ncm torque for the screws. Screw in
the same order as when disassembling.

Remove UI PWB, LCD and Center Frame assy from Keyguide assy
Unclip the snap at the bottom of the Keyguide with a fingernail or a tool and remove the
parts. Be careful not to break the snap feature.
Be careful as the display may drop, as it is not fixed inside the assembly.

Disassembling of the Keyguide assy
Light guide from Keyguide assy
Start the removing by bending the keyguide. Avoid touching the lightguide on the left
side. When the lightguide is out enough on the left side grab it and remove it completely
from the Keyguide.

Remove LCD Metal Frame From Keyguide assy
Hold the keyguide upside down and grab the LCD Metal Frame from the middle then grab
the Keyguide from the right side and unsnap the right side snaps. Then do the same for
the left side.

Remove Earpiece From LCD Metal Frame
Use tweezers to remove the Earpiece. Be careful not to bend the connectors or damage the
wirings.

Remove Engine PWB
Remove the Engine PWB simply by lifting it out from the B-Cover.

Remove Antenna Assy
Use tweezers or fingers to remove the Antenna assy.

Remove Power Button
Use tweezers to remove the Power Button.

Use tweezers or fingers to remove the DC-Jack, avoid damaging the connectors.

Remove Line In Connector
Use tweezers to remove the Line In Connector.

Remove IHF Lid with Audio Shield
Use tweezers or fingers to remove the IHF-Lid. Remove Audio Shield if needed.

Remove Malt Speaker
Use tweezers to remove the Malt Speaker. Use the 2 holes on top of the speaker to avoid
damage to the speaker. There are thin wires that can be easily damaged.
Note for Reassembly. The Malt speaker is fixed with a doublesided adhesive. Use a
new adhesive when reassembling.

Use tweezers to remove the MMC Hook

Reassembly instructions
Reassemble MMC-Hook
Use tweezers to reassemble the MMC Hook. Place the MMC-Hook between the ribs in
the B-Cover as shown below.

Reassemble Fun Button
Place the Fun Button in its place on the left hand side. Push the rubber rib on the button
into the slot in the b-cover. The button will be held in place by friction.

Reassemble Volume-key
Assemble the Volume key from outside. Simply push it into its hole. A few pushes might
be needed for it to lock on its place.

Reassemble Malt Speaker
Use tweezers to reassemble the Malt Speaker. Use the 2 holes on top of the speaker to
avoid damage to the speaker. There are thin wires that can be easily damaged.
The Malt speaker is fixed with a doublesided adhesive. Use a new adhesive when reas-
sembling. Note the correct assembly position. There is a nose in the speaker and a recess
in the B-Cover. The nose should go into the recess.

Reassemble IHF Lid with Audio Shield
Use tweezers or fingers to reassemble the IHF-Lid. Reassemble Audio Shield if needed.

Use tweezers to reassemble the Vibra.

Use tweezers or fingers to reassemble the Antenna assy. Make sure that the 2 snap fea-
tures are locked.

Reassemble Engine PWB
Reassemble the Engine PWB simply by placing it on the B-Cover. Make sure that the Bat-
tery connector springs go thrill the hole and the PWB is lying flat on the B-Cover assem-
bly.

Reassembling the Keyguide assy
Reassemble Light guide to Keyguide assy
Place the Lightguide top snaps into their holes and rotate the Lightguide into its place.
Make sure that the bottom snap feature will lock the parts together.

Reassemble LCD Metal Frame to Keyguide assy
Hold the keyguide upside down and place the LCD Metal Frame on its place press on the
left and right side of the LCD recess so that the 4 snaps lock the parts together.

1. Place the UI PWB assy on the Centerframe Assy
2. Place the LCD on the UI PWB Assy

Reassemble Keyguide Assembly with UI PWB, Centershield and Center Frame
onto the B-Cover
Reassemble screws in order as shown using Torx 6 screwdriver. Reassemble the Keyguide
assembly.
Note: When reassembling Use 25Ncm torque for the screws.

Reassemble A-Cover and Keymat
1. Pick up a Keypad (9790730) and place onto transceiver.
2. Fit the A-cover to the transceiver by pressing directly downwards.
Note! Make sure that snaps locked correctly.

Reassemble Sim-card MMC-Card, Battery and Battery Cover
1. Reassemble the SIM Card by into the SIM card connector latch. Rotate to close the
latch and Slide the SIM Card Holder upwards to lock it.
2. Reassemble The MMC Card by placing the connector end first and then pressing the
card into its place.
