Subject: Cabinet Buzz Or Rattle At Power On. Symptom: (6143)

Degauss coil vibration during degauss operation at power on causes a buzzing or rattling noise to be heard from the cabinet. This noise is beyond the normal hum that is briefly heard during the degauss operation.

Solution:

If the customer complains of this symptom, install cushions around the degauss coils at the top and bottom of the set. QUANTITY REQUIRED 2 DESCRIPTION CUSHION, DEGAUSS COIL PART NUMBER 4-084-728-01

Step 1: Position a cushion below the top and bottom degauss coils as shown. Make sure the cushions are equally centered from left to right.

Make sure top cushion is centered with cabinet bosses.

Make sure bottom cushion is centered with center rib.
