Dismantling

Cutter block support Remove circlip (4a) Take off cutter block with seal (4b) and pressure spring (4c) Housing (5) Remove housing screws (4d) Snap out the carrier unit C to the top (see dashed line) and remove it

PCB (6)

Remove insulating foil (4g) Now take off PCB (6) together with mains socket Desolder the connecting wires from the motor Remove the oscillating frame from the housing back. Unscrew both screws (4f) Usually the motor wire (4e) sticks to the motor (7) due to the magnetic field In some shavers of the first series, the motors were glued. These shavers have to be modified to meet the new standards with screw connections.

Reassembly

The reassembly has to be made in reversed order. Attention is to be paid to the following points: Motor (7) Before reasssembling the motor (7), insert the motor wire (4e) as shown in the diagram. Slightly greasethe motor in the center. Fix the motor by means of both screws (4f). Before inserting the oscillating frame, attach the lever to the motor eccentric.

PCB (6)

Solder the wires of the PCB (6) to the motor (7), making sure of correct polarity. Solder the plus wire (red) to the motor connection marked with a red dot. Insert the mains socket with PCB (6) to match exactly into rhe housing lower part. Attach insulating foil (4g). The wires leading to the motor and to the mains socket must be installed in such a way that they cannot be squezeed when the housing halves are screwed together. The three recesses on the sides of the PCB must grip into the corresponding pins of the housing back. Asssemble both housing halves to match exactly and press them together. After assembing the cutter block bearing with seal, the Carrier unit, "C" must be reattached. Please pay attention to the fact that the pin

Control of the PCB

· · · ·

Let the shaver run empty from normal operation. Connect the power supply. Recharge shaver approx. 5 minutes. (The green lamp must burn permanently) Disconnect shaver from mains and measure the voltage on the batteries. Voltage on the cells must exceed 1.2 V. If this value is reached, the PCB is in order.

Attention:

Used batteries must not be disposed of in the household waste, but at appropiate disposal sites.
