Start and operation of the system
5.0 Start and operation of the system
5.1 Start up procedure
The DATAPOWER can be operated by any person with no prior knowledge of a UPS system. When the mains and the load cables are connected to the DATAPOWER, it is started simply by: · Switching on the MCB (F1) on the rear side. The DATAPOWER will perform a self-check-procedure ending with the LED display showing red/yellow/green meaning that everything is OK. Switch on the button on the front of the DATAPOWER. The acoustic alarm will give a little beep when output power is available. Switch on the load.
·
·
The DATAPOWER will always be shipped with fully charged batteries, but due to transport and possible storage time the energy content of the batteries might not be 100% (indicated by a yellow LED bar). When installed it is recommended to test the system. See user manual.

Programming parameters
6.0 Programming parameters
The function of the DATAPOWER DP100E can be programmed either by a service computer or by DIP-switches. For changing the factory setting, please contact your local dealer.
6.1
DATAPOWERTM/economy mode
The DATAPOWER DP100E can be programmed to run in two different modes with different advantages. DATAPOWER mode: Is the true on-line mode, where the output is stabilized and the mains current is sinusoidal. Efficiency is above 95%. To achieve additional savings, the DATAPOWER DP100E can be programmed to run in economy mode. In economy mode the load is supplied directly from mains. In this mode the inverter is stand-by giving a very high efficiency. However, the DATAPOWER DP100E is monitoring the mains and the output voltage and will in case of mains failure uninterruptedly switch into battery operation. The DP100E is as standard set for DATAPOWER operation.

The 25 pole SUB-D female plug on the cable has to be mounted inside the box for LED panel. Dismount the cover for LED panel by dismounting the four screws on the backside of the LED panel. Inside the box, plug the 25 pole SUB-D plug into the socket on the LED-PCB. Place the grommet for hole on the multicable. Fix the grommet into the inlet on the box. Remount the cover and the four screws. Maximum length of the connection cable is 100m. The cables used must be shielded. Use SUB-D plugs of metal or metalized plastic and connect the shield to the cable relief clamp in the SUB-D plug connected to the DATAPOWER. The shield must not be connected to the SUB-D plug at the remote LED panel.
