Firmware Update of a DVD CAM
How to make an update disc
1) Download the software update files from the Samsung Internet Site. ( GLOBAL DOWNLOAD CENTER at www.samsung.com ) 2) After unzipping the "firmware.zip" file, Burn Disc(8cm DVD-RW) with the file (C710.bin) using the NERO Burning program.
Click "Add" button to select "C710.bin" file.
After selecting "C710.bin" file. click "Next" button.
Change disc name as "TSST" and click "Option" button.
Please check on the box in front of "DVD high compatibility mode(at least 1GB will be written)"
Click "Burn" button
Update procedure
- Warning It is very important ; please read the notice below before updating your unit. The following events may interrupt the update process and MAY RESULT IN PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE UNIT WHILE UPDATING. . . . . . Unplugging the power cord. Power Outage. Dirt or Scratches on the disc. Opening a disc tray during processing Changing from "camera mode" to "play mode"
1) Turn on the power switch. 2) Insert the update disc with the software update 3) The message as "Loader Firmware is updating..." will appear on the screen automatically.
Loader Firmware is updating...
If this mark "
" appears on the screen, the unit is already updated.
4) If this mark " " appears on the screen, remove power cord or battery from the unit and turn the power switch off.
5) After connecting power cord or inserting battery, remove the Disc from the unit. 6) Updating is finished.
