X-RAY RADIATION PRECAUTION
1. Excessive high voltage can produce potentially hazardous X -R AY R A DIATIO N .To avoid such hazards, the high voltage m ust not exceed the specified lim it. The nominal value of the high voltage of this receiver is 26.5kv(25"), 29.5kv(29") at max beam current. The high voltage must not, under any circumstances, exceed 29.0kv (25"), 31.5kv(29"). Each tim e a receiver requires servicing, the high voltage should be checked. It is recom m ended the reading of the high voltage recorded as a part of the service records. it is im portant to use an accurate and reliable high voltage m eter. 2. The only source of X-R AY R adiation in this TV receiver is the picture tube. For continuous R AD IATIO N protection, the replacem ent tube m ust be exactly the sam e type tube as specified in the parts list.
SAFETY PRECAUTION
1. P otentials of high voltage are present w hen this receiver is operating. O peration of the receiver outside the cabinet or w ith the back cover rem oved involves a shock hazard from the receiver. 1) S ervicing should not be attem pted by anyone w ho is not thoroughly fam iliar w ith the precautions necessary w hen w orking on highvoltage equipm ent. 2) A lw ays discharge the picture tube to avoid the shock hazard before rem oving the anode cap. 3) D ischarge the high potential of the picture tube before handling the tube. The picture tube is highly evac uated and if broken, glass fragm ents w ill be violently expelled. 2. If any Fuse in this TV receiver is blow n, replace it w ith the FU S E specified in the R eplacem ent P arts List. 3. W hen replacing a high w attage resistor(oxide m etal film resistor) in circuit board, keep the resistor 10m m aw ay from circuit board. 4. K eep w ires aw ay from high voltage or high tem perature com ponents. 5. This receiver m ust operate betw een A C 110~250volts, 50H z/60H z. N E V E R connect to D C supply or any other pow er or frequency.

ALIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
,, CM-900 CHASSIS ADJUSTMENT
Application · This prescribes the adjustm ent procedure for the optim um electrical perform ance of the C M -900 chassis color TV receiver General Description · The grade characteristics have to be m arked on the test devices and m easuring instrum ents. · Fix these equipments previously which have enough performance to acknowledge the applied standard for each test items. · P erform the adjustm ent w hen the chassis is in a fully stable state as long as no particular condition is specified. · W hen adjusting this chassis, the environm ental tem perature 20± 2° C , relative hum idity 65± 5% and air pressure 860-1060m bar are suitable. A s long as no particular condition is specified, how ever, it is possible to execute the adjustm ent at tem perature 15-35° C , relative hum idity 45-85% and air pressure 860-1060m bar. · The strength of the applied input signal is dropped out voltage as long as no particular condition is specified. Power Supply · perform the adjustm ent w ithin ± 10% of the rate voltage. Additional Rem ark · In this test, the subject matter of the open/close applies in accordance with the technical standard control rule TESNO-001.

2. Initializing
- To use only w hen you change the E E P R O M . - P ush the M U TE key of the user rem ocon, at the sam e tim e push the M E N U button on the M ask Front. A nd then it is a service m ode. - In service m ode, as push the R E C A LL key of the user rem ocon, at the sam e tim e push the C H U P button on the M ask Front. A nd then it is initialized. - It is not necessary to product at a factory - A fter initializing, turn off and then turn on the pow er. - R efer ` S E RV IC E M O D E '.
3. Screen Adjustment
- R eceive the R E TM A signal. - P ush the S C R E E N O N key of the S ervice R em ocon and m ake to be displayed the H orizontal line. - D o not adjust the color w hat this line is displayed, but add the other color data until the H orizontal line is w hite. A t this tim e to use R ,G ,B C U T O FF. - A fter adjustm ent the H orizontal line is w hite, turn the screen V R of FB T until the H orizontal line disappear. (to the left) - P ush S C R E E N O FF key of the service rem ocon, it w ill be displayed as like `Fig.1'. - P ush the N O R M A L key or W /B key of service rem ocon, then `Fig.1' disappear.

4. White Balance Adjustment
R eceive the R E TM A signal S et all condition to the N orm al I. (P ush the N O R M A L key of the service rem ocon.) C onnect the JIG for w hite balance adjustm ent. First, adjust high beam . U se G ,B G A IN key of the service rem ocon. (X =288, Y =301 for W /B ) A nd then adjust low beam again using R ,G ,B C U T O FF key. (A t this tim e, if the high beam is changed, adjust again about tw o tim es.) - If you adjust high beam and low beam at the sam e tim e, it is not any problem w hat is used first, R ,G ,B C U T O FF or G ,B G A IN key. -
5. Vertical / Horizontal Adjustment
- R eceive the R etm a signal (for PA L system ) - S et all condition to the N orm al I. (P ush the N O R M A L key of the service rem ocon.)
5-1. V-CENTER - P ush the V.C (P /N ) key of the service rem ocon, then it is displayed like `Fig 2' - A djust to use D ATA U P /D O W N key so that the center of R etm a P attern m ay be located in the Vertical center of the C RT

5-2. V-HEIGHT - P ush the V.H (P /N ) key of the service rem ocon, and the cursor indicate V.H (P ) (Fig 2). - A djust to use D ATA U P /D O W N key so that the H eight num ber "9" m ay be seen at the edge above or below from the end of the C RT.
5-3. V-LINEARITY - P ush the V.L key of the service rem ocon, and the cursor indicate V.L (Fig 2). - A djust to use D ATA U P /D O W N key so that the R etm a P attern is the m ost com plete circle. 5-4. H-CENTER - P ush the H .P (P ) key of the service rem ocon, and the cursor indicate H .P (P ) (Fig 2). - A djust to use D ATA U P /D O W N key so that the W idth num ber at the edge of left/ right side m ay be seen the sam e.
6. Pincusion Adjustment
- R eceive the C R O S S -H ATC H signal. - Turn E /W V R (R 401) of the m ain P C B so that the second vertical line of the left side m ay be straightened. (like Fig.4)

7. Width Adjustment
- R eceive the R etm a signal (for PA L system ) - Turn V R (R 402) of the m ain P C B so that the W idth num ber "11" m ay be seen at the edge of left and right side. (like Fig.3)
8. Secam Bell Filter Adjustment
R eceive the S E C A M C olor B ar signal C onnect JIG to the P in N o.36 of TB 1226N (I501) P ush the S E C A M key of the service rem ocon, then it is displayed like `Fig 5' M ove the cursor at B .F w ith ITE M key of the service rem ocon. A djust to use D ATA U P /D O W N key so that the w ave form m ay be flat like Fig.6

9. Secam White Balance Adjustment
