1) Connect the battery or AC adapter/charger to power the VDR-M70PP/M50PP. 2) Set the power switch to "VIDEO" and place the VDR-M70PP/M50PP in the recording pause status; loading disc is not necessary at this time. For the following steps, operate VDR-M70PP/ M50PP while viewing the LCD monitor or viewfinder. 3) Set the quick mode switch to "OFF". 4) Press the MENU button to display the camera setting menu screen. 5) Use the joystick to choose "Initial Setup", and then press the center of joystick. 6) Use the joystick to choose "Reset", and then press the center of joystick: The screen for verifying reset will appear. 7) Use the joystick to choose "YES", and then press the center of joystick: Reset will be executed. 8) After reset, press the MENU button to close the camera setting menu.
