(1) Checking Disc
Connect the AC adapter/charger or charged battery (power supply), and then press the DISC EJECT button to make sure that no disc is inserted. After check, close the disc insertion block. If the disc insertion block does not open normally, refer to "4-8 Procedure for Removing Disc from Faulty VDR-M70PP/M50PP".

Prohibition
After the above check, be sure to disconnect the AC adapter/charger or battery from the VDRM70PP/M50PP. The VDR-M70PP/M50PP has a built-in laser emitter block. Never look into it: If Laser beam strikes your eye, it could cause serious vision damage.

(2) Checking Card
Make sure that no card is loaded in the card slot. After check, close the card slot cover.
