F/W Update re: No Power, System Operation Improvements
SYMPTOM: When the system is turned off for couple of hours, there are some cases that the unit shuts down soon after Master Power SW or Main Zone SW is turned ON. The unit will be able to power back ON by unplugging and then plugging the AC cable back in. When the unit communicates to read the album art in an iPod Classic with no album art, the iPod resets itself. When HDMI processing is ON, output aspect ratio doesn't follow the source ratio. For USA models, the extended IR code prepared for custom installation "Rhapsody" doesn't function. Minor corrections on GUI and Zone OSD display.
General improvements in system control.
CAUSE:
Microprocessor program error.
SOLUTION: Download the data from the Yamaha AV Service Information System website /RX-V3900 ROM Update or RX-Z7_DSP-Z7 ROM Update. After the update, confirm that the version and checksum matches with the ones below. NOTE:
This firmware update can be performed by either USB thumb drive or internet connection. Refer to the instruction manual for details.
SERVICING: Update the firmware to the latest version when brought in for service.
