Subject: F9-10 error
Thank you for your continued cooperation in quality improvement of the document products. It was revealed AR-FR24U (Commercial version), the security kit of the option for AR-M256/M257/M258/5625, has a defect. We would like to report about it as below.

[Concerned models] AR-FR24UA AR-FR24UB

[Outline] There was a report from Japanese field that F9-10 error occurred when AR-FR24U (Commercial version) was installed. (We have received the report only from Japanese field so far.) As a result of our investigation, it was found that the data of the flash ROM (PCL) in the package of AR-FR24U (Commercial version) was garbled. (There is no problem with the flash ROM's other than PCL.) Sorry to trouble you, but if you have any flash ROM (PCL) from the concerned lot described below, would you let us know the serial No. of each ROM?) We will send you alternative flash ROM (PCL) when we receive the serial No. Sorry for the trouble, but please replace with them. *It is not necessary to send us the defective flash ROM.

[Concerned lot No.] (1) "759" (Manufactured in September 2007)-indicated on the box (2) If you do not have the box, it is possible to confirm the serial No. by the label attached on the ROM. Serial no: 7****9 *Please refer to the next page for the confirmation method of the lot No. and the serial No.

[How to confirm the serial No.] The first digit indicates the year. (Concerned serial No. is "7.") The last digit indicates the month. (Concerned serial No. is "9.") The other 4 digits are the serial No.
