Subject: Shutdown Due To Quick Power Off/On or Date: August 9, 1996
Intermittent Power On.
Symptom:
(211) If rapidly pressing the Power Switch Off/On causes the monitor to go into Shutdown
mode. Or the Power ON mode requires pressing the Power Button multiple times.
CPD-20SF2 effected S/N range is 2000001 to 2000500. GDM-17SE2 effected D
Board suffix is -11, -12, -13, -21, -22, -23.
Solution: Then change HV Over detection circuits to correct HV level detection sensivity.
Please make circuit corrections on the D Board according to the following procedure.
Note: The parts listed below are needed to complete this procedure.

R1417 330 OHM 5% 1/4W 1-215-409-00
R492 47K OHM 5% 1/4W 1-249-437-11
1. Add new component R1417 between IC401 Pin 8 and D417. Cut R1417 leads to
3/8'' length. Lift D417 Anode lead from the D Board solder pad. Solder R1417 leads
to D417 Anode lead and former D417 solder pad. See illustration below.
2. Replace R492 10K Ohm part with 47 K Ohm. See illustration below.
