Subject: Front Panel Function Button is intermittent or Function is Incorrect Symptom: (222)

If, the front panel buttons, mainly the brightness and contrast buttons, are pressed, other functions are activated different from the one shown by the On Screen Display. This may be caused by the push buttons switch's internal metal contact surfaces not being smooth. This irregular surface causes higher contact resistance giving incorrect push button signals. Then, please perform the following correction procedure. 1. To ensure all switches are properly formed, push each Brightness and Contrast button, FIRMLY, TEN times in succession. This will condition the switch electrical contact surface to improve contact resistance. Switch should operate properly for the life of the unit. 2. If irregular operation persists, repeat Step 1. 3. If irregular operation continues, then replace the switch(es) as required. See parts list below.
