Subject: Q507, H. Out; Replacement Part Compatibility Symptom: (1111)
Date: July 8, 1999
Two different device types have been used for Q507, Horiz. Output transistor in this model. Either transistor type can be used for replacement as long as R506 and R508 are compatible. Use the instructions below to determine the correct replacement part to use for Q507. The Case 1 and Case 2 Tables below list the (2) Q507 types with the compatible R506 and R508 values. If the Horiz. Output transistor is faulty and requires replacement, then please use the following directions to determine the correct replacement parts. Refer to the following illustration to locate Q507, R506, and R508 on the D Board. 1. Access the D Board and check the type of Q507 installed. 2. If the original type Q507 is available, then replace Q507 with the same type of transistor as the original type. Use the following tables for the part numbers to use in ordering. 3. If the original type Q507 is not available, then use the other type Q507. Replace R506 and R508 with the parts listed for the same Case No. as for the new Q507 type used.
