This is the first edition of a new publication that applies to Release 6 of OS/VSl and to any subsequent
releases of that system unless otherwise indicated in new editions or technical newsletters. Another new
publication, OS/VS2 MVS Data Management Macro Instructions, GC26-3873, will contain
corresponding OS/VS2 MVS information. OS/VSl and OS/VS2 MVS information was previously
intermingled in OS/VS Data Management Macro Instructions, GC26-3793; this previous publication is
now out of date for OS/VSl and will be out of date for OS/VS2 MVS when the new OS/VS2 MVS
publication is issued.
Information on the IBM 3202 Printer, Model 4, is provided for planning purposes only until the product
is available.
Significant system changes are summarized under "OS/VSl Summary of Amendments" following the
list of figures. In addition, miscellaneous editorial and technical changes have been made throughout
the publication.
Information in this publication is subject to significant change. Any such changes will be published in
