Subject: Vertical Bands.
Please use the following IRIS codes when making a claim:-
1.Symptom = F343 2. Section Code = 0UT
3.Defect Code = T 4. Repair Code = K
Background: The reported Models (TX32PK25/28PK25) AND DVD players (SC-HT80 / SC-HT70)
shows 2 vertical bands that appear on screen. When the audio lead is removed from the
rear of the TV, the vertical shading bands disappear.
Remedy: Using Modification Kit TZS9EK018 refer to diagram below and carry out the following:-
Method: 1. Remove C2303.
2. Remove jumper chip resistor JA 115. (Not jumper wire JA115).
3. Connect the ferrite bead supplied between the earth pad of JK2301and the audio earth
of AV1 (Pin 4). Safety Notice ! : The ferrite bead must be glued in place

Remedy: Add jumper wire.
Method: Using diagram below add jumper wire to location indicated.

Background: With some signal conditions the picture may jitter horizontally.
Remedy: Modify the F-PCB.
Note:- Serial numbers effected are for November 2002 production NG-261 --- to NG-264---
Method: Using kit number TZS9EK029 carry out the following modification.
(Diagram 1 shows position of C1597)
1. Remove the F-PCB.
2. Insert capacitor part no. ECJ1VC1H220J in position C1597.
3. Replace the F-PCB and re-adjust:-
a) DVCO.
b) Check and adjust the geometry if required.
4. Carry out the SELF CHECK operation on TV.

Subject: Dark and / or green picture
When making a claim please use the following IRIS codes

Background: Due to contamination of RGB drive transistor legs by dust and moisture build up, the above
phenomenon may occur.

Remedy: Insulating of transistor legs.
Method: 1. Remove the three RGB drive transistors.
2. Clean Y-PCB.
3. Insulate collector leg of the three transistor with sleeving.
4. Replace the three drive transistors.
Note: The transistor reference numbers and transistor types may vary from model to model
the diagrams are just an example.
