File name Ind100.txtIND100 /INDIANA 100 CHASSIS
#G The notes following refer to all common parts on the Indiana
100 and Indiana 200 chassis which are virtually identical. For
uncommon data refer to the Indiana 200 section.
A/V MODULE
#1 A/V Module Manual and Electronic Switching versions.
The majority of these modules were manually switched with a
slide switch on the rear of the cabinet. The electronic
switching version is on Romanian sourced chassis only.
AUDIO. Essentially the audio section consists of a RF
Oscillator which is Frequency Modulated with Audio. If there
are any problems the RF frequency measured at K202 should be
6Mhz for UK operation and 5.5Mhz for European operation.. this
is unmodulated.
VIDEO. The Video stage is a 2x amplifier with a 75R input
impedance. The video is connected to the main chassis via K100.
Electronic switched versions are controlled from the TCR panel
and are only found on INDIANA 200 Chassis.
#2 AUDIO IF.
The audio If is contained in the Jungle Ic Ic100 and is
associated with pins 11,12,13,14 & 15.
NO OUTPUT
Check Z101,C109, C123 & C111. Check control voltage from IC300
and assoc filter, should vary from 0 - 2.5V.
LOW OUTPUT.
Check alignment of L101 and Z101 for correct type.
Check control voltage from IC300 and assoc filter.
VISION BUZZ.
Check R111, Z101, alignment of L302.
#3 AUDIO OUTPUT.
Audio output is via Ic 200 and is a straight forward output
stage.
Supply Voltage 26Vdc. Current 440 m/a at full volume.
NO OUTPUT.
Check R200,IC200, Print and pads around K201,Loudspeaker O/c,
No input from If stage.
DISTORTED OUTPUT.
Alignment of L101,C202 leaky, damaged loudspeaker.
#4 COLOUR DECODER (TEXT) TDA3561A
A Common device which incorporates Luma, Chroma processing,
and RGB source switching.
NO PICTURE.
Check V+12 on pin 1.
Super Sandcastle on pin 8, this should be a 50/50 pulse height,
if the ratios are not 50/50 then the picture will mute.
The Blanking signal on pin 9 should be 0V,if not check blanking
signal from Text Ic via D903(Ind 100).
NO COLOUR.
Check Chroma input on pin 3 this should be 0.6V p/p.
To Un Kill the colour killer connect pin 6 to +12V.
Check Colour level control voltage pin 6 this should vary from
0-2.5V, if 0V then check back to control panel IC100.
ONE COLOUR MISSING.
If one output is missing from K501 check de-coupling capacitors
C521,522,523.
#5 COLOUR DECODER (non Text) TDA3565
This is a similar decoder to the TDA3561A, with the exception
of no RGB inputs for Teletext. The other difference is pin
connections. The fault guide is the same as for the TDA3561A.
