Model : Finisher D1 No.: Acc-149 (FF-T01-W-000056-01) DATE: 09.04.99 Location : FEEDING ASSEMBLY Subject : CORRECTING MISALIGNMENT (DURING SORTING) Reason : The weight of the trailing edge arms found in the sorting guide assembly can cause an alignment fault during staple sorting, and the problem can be corrected by providing the measures shown herein during servcing work. Details : During staple sorting, sheets are discharged out of alignment. The weight of the trailing edge arms in the sorting guide assembly can cause paper to curl downward during delivery. If the paper is moist, the downward curling will increase, resulting in misalignment during staple sorting. Remove two trailing edge arms to reduce the weight imposed on paper. (Remove the inner two of the four arms.) Note: Check the parts in stock (middle-level items), and implement measures. Servicing : < Making Checks and Making Adjustments > 1) If the delivery outlet tray is in the way, change its position. Fig. 1 -1/2- Acc-149 2) While holding up the swing guide, remove the inner two of the four screws.
