File name AS-115.pdf 1/3 Service Bulletin SB Number: SB AS-115 Issue Date: 07/02/2003 Subject: Preventing J87 (Change `Mount, Feed Pulley') Model: DF-600 / 610 (KM-4530 / 5530 / 6330) DF-600: KM-4530 / 5530 * / 6630 * (* = with special adjustment only: see SB AS-116) DF-610: KM-4530 / 5530 / 6330 Phenomenon & Cause When paper is ejected from the DF-600 / 610 to the BF-1 (booklet folder unit), the solenoid may not switch on completely, because the back of the `MOUNT, FEED PULLEY' rubs against the `SOLENOID, STOPPER' (P/N: 68327321) and the `LEVER, CONVEYING PULLEY' (P/N: 3B807480). In addition, the `PULLEY, LEADING REGISTRATION' (P/N: 68721420) may also not switch on completely. If this happens, the ejected paper may stop near the entrance of the BF-1 and J87 occurs. Factory / Field measure In the production lines, an extra procedure has been added to the related assembly process. If the phenomenon should arise in the field, please implement the following steps. Change the fixation position of the `SOLENOID, STOPPER' and the `REINFORCEMENT, FEED PULLEY' (P/N: 3B807960) as follows. 1. Change the fixation position of `SOLENOID, STOPPER' to a more upwards position. 2. Change the fixation position of `REINFORCEMENT, FEED PULLEY' to the direction of the arrows. 1. Move the fixation position of `SOLENOID, STOPPER' upward (arrow) and fix the solenoid. 2. Move the fixation position of `REINFORCEMENT, FEED PULLEY' to direction of arrows and fix the reinforcement. KMIS Service Team, Kyocera Mita Europe 5580 / SB AS-115 2/3 Service Bulletin 3. Check the `PULLEY, LEADING REGISTRATION'. Rotate this gear from front to rear. Check if the pulleys on inner and front side rotate together! (Inner pulley: rotates to front side / Front pulley: rotates to inner side) Permanent countermeasure The attachment position of the `SOLENOID, STOPPER' and `LEVER, CONVEYING PULLEY' has been moved upwards with 0.5 mm so that the `PULLEY, LEADING REGISTRATION' will go down completely. The position of the 2 holes for the screws to fix solenoid onto the `MOUNT, FEED PULLEY' has been adjusted. `SOLENOID, STOPPER' is attached here. These screw holes are moved upward wi |
