Contact your local Agilent Technologies sales representative or authorized service company for repair of the instrument. If you continue to operate without repairing the instrument, there is a potential fire or shock hazard for the operator. n Instrument operates abnormally. n Instrument emits abnormal noise, smell, smoke or a spark-like light during the operation. n Instrument generates high temperature or electrical shock during operation. n Power cable, plug, or receptacle on instrument is damaged. n Foreign substance or liquid has fallen into the instrument. When you turn on the 4339B for the rst time, conrm the power line frequency is set correctly. 1. Press . The following menu is displayed. 2. Press until ``more'' blinks, and press . 3. Press until ``Line'' blinks, and press . A blinking item means that it is currently selected. 4. If the setting does not match the power line frequency, press to toggle the setting between ``50 Hz'' and ``60 Hz''. Then press . 5. Press until ``Exit'' blinks, and press to exit this menu. The power line frequency setting is stored and is not changed after reset or power-o. Once you set it, you do not need to set the line frequency again as long as the same power line frequency is being used.
