Connector information for KPCMCIA Analog and Digital I/O products In early 1998, the style of connector on the cards (and mating cable) was changed to improve their mechanical performance. The older design was not highly tolerant to numerous make/break cycles when attaching/detaching the cable to the card. Individual pins in either the card or the cable's connector could become displaced or bent. The new connector is much improved and the incidence of bent pins and consequential malfunction has disappeared. Cables for use with the old style card are not interchangeable with cards that use the new connector. Cards and cables which have the new connector, use the same model number as before except a "
