Brother FAX150 User guide

On first power up of the Fax machine the time must be set in order for the unit to time and date "Stamp" any sent or received faxes. Hold down the STOP and START/COPY Buttons for approximately 6 seconds, At this point the FINE/PHOTO LED's will illuminate. Press the "Grey" button directly below these lamps one time the LED above the START/COPY button will now illuminate, Press this once and the time and date will be printed.

Changing the Time and Date

Press the grey "FINE/PHOTO" button to set the first digit of the Hour Then press START/COPY to move to the second digit, Continue this until time and date are set e.g. 15 March 2002 @ 9:30PM would be 15/03/02 21:30:00

When the START/COPY Button Has been pressed for the last time You will be asked if you wish to make the changes to the time if yes press the START/COPY button again if not press " STOP" and you can re-set the time.

2. Setting Password:
Hold down the STOP and START/COPY Buttons for approximately 6 seconds, At this point the FINE/PHOTO LED's will illuminate. Press the "Grey" button directly below these lamps three times the LED above the START/COPY button will now illuminate, Press this one time then the FINE/PHOTO button ONCE followed by he START/COPY button this will then force the machine to print the current FAX Password number.

RTI/TTI Number:

This is usually set as the telephone number the machine is connected to, this is transmitted with any documents sent as a header on the page for identifying the sender along with the station ID.

Setting: Hold down the STOP and START/COPY Buttons for approximately 6 seconds, At this point the FINE/PHOTO LED's will illuminate. Press the "Grey" button directly below these lamps three times the LED above the START/COPY button will now illuminate, Press this one time then the FINE/PHOTO button Twice followed by he START/COPY button this will then force the machine to print the current TTI/RTI number.

Repeat Pressing The Start/Copy button until The led Goes out to fill the rest of the "LINE " With blanks

When the START/COPY Button Has been pressed for the last time You will be asked if you wish to make the changes to the RTI/TTI Number if yes press the START/COPY button again if not press " STOP" and you can re-set the RTI/TTI.

These are set to personal preferences buy the user: User Switches Default Usage 1. Transmission speed 0=4800BPS 2400 or 4800 Bits per second TX Rate 2. Audible tone 0=Present Keypad " Tones" 3.Resolution 0=Normal Sets resolution for TX mode 4.Resolution 0=Normal Sets resolution for TX mode 5. Not used 0 6. End of Page Mark 0=Present Prints / doesn't print line at end of page 7. Not used 0 8. Not used 0 9. TX Report 0=Present Prints print Report after Transmission of FAX 10. RX Report 1=Absent Doesn't print Report after Reception of FAX

User switch setting: Hold down the STOP and START/COPY Buttons for approximately 6 seconds, At this point the FINE/PHOTO LED's will i lluminate. Press the "Grey" button directly below these lamps four times the LED above the START/COPY button will now illuminate, Press this one time this will then force the machine to print the current switch settings.

To change the settings use the FINE/PHOTO button to select the switch i.e. 6 presses to get to the " End of page mark" then the START/COPY button to toggle the switch. Repeat until switches are set

press the START/COPY Button when finished You will then be asked if you wish to make the changes to the switch settings if yes press the START/COPY button again if not press " STOP" and you can re-set the switches.

5. System Configuration:
Hold down the STOP and START/COPY Buttons for approximately 6 seconds, At this point the FINE/PHOTO LED's will i lluminate. Press the "Grey" button directly below these lamps two times the LED above the START/COPY button will now illuminate, Press this one time this will then force the machine to print the current System Configuration - Password, RTI/TTI, Station ID and Time/date
