1. Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your new DATAPOWER DP10E from Silcon Power Electronics A/S. You have now ensured that your servers, PC's, printers, or other electronic equipment, which you may connect, will work uninterrupted under all circumstances.
1.1
Functional description
This DATAPOWER UPS is an ,,on-line" UPS system, which will continuously supply your equipment with uninterrupted energy of a very high quality. The main components of UPS are the rectifier, the battery, the inverter, and the bypass circuitry. The rectifier keeps the battery charged by converting from AC to DC. The inverter converts back again from DC to AC supplying stable energy to your equipment i.e. load. In normal operation, when mains is available, this DATAPOWER UPS will supply a perfect output voltage independent of noise, transients, over- and undervoltage etc. on the input. At the same time the battery is kept charged, so that energy is always available in fault situations. Fig. 1.1
